ASBESTOS

Asbestos is still found in many buildings even though, there have been regulations banning asbestos in certain building materials for many years.

National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) regulations require that before certain structures are demolished, (not including single family homes),  they must be inspected for asbestos containing materials. When asbestos is found in structures according to NESHAP, the asbestos must be removed before the demolition can continue.
